Water

In 2018, our 21st year, we began a new phase of our humanitarian work. Water access is a critical need for many people around the globe. The Wayuu are an indigenous tribe that inhabits the arid Guajira region in the NE of Colombia and bordering Venezuela.

Our team has visited various families and villages of this tribe and found them in a very dire situation. Due to pervasive drought and very few resources, this tribe is in desperate need. Child mortality is extremely high and their living conditions are very harsh.

With the continued support of TOMA's donors, we have purchased a drill designed for use in remote areas and will begin working to establish consistent, clean water sources for people in this region through the drilling of wells.
